New Henry® WeatherSmart® Rainscreen Ensures Wall System Protection for Healthier Buildings

An accessory to the Fortifiber® 1-2-3 Moisture Control System™, Henry® WeatherSmart® Rainscreen drains moisture from the wall assembly to prevent mold, rot and mildew.

Fernley, NV, February 12, 2020 – Henry® Company announces the launch of Henry® WeatherSmart® Rainscreen – a unique 3D matrix that creates a ventilation and drainage gap between a weather-resistive barrier and exterior cladding on vertical walls. Using heavy polypropylene strands, the product’s unique “dimple design” channels water down and out of the wall assembly. The built-in fabric backing protects that channel from debris, ensuring unobstructed airflow and faster drying.

“Moisture will eventually find its way into any wall assembly, but advances in building science and technology allow us to preemptively prepare for these environmental challenges before they become a serious concern” said Jeff Wedge, Vice President of Sales. “Our new WeatherSmart® Rainscreen delivers dependable results, protecting building owners from leaks and protecting builders from costly call-backs.”

WeatherSmart® Rainscreen is an accessory to the Fortifiber® 1-2-3 Moisture Control System™ of flashings, weather-resistive barriers and sealants, a 3-step weatherization system that can be customized to meet the needs of regional climates, code requirements, claddings and building practices. All system components can be used together with confidence. WeatherSmart® Rainscreen may carry a 15-year warranty. See henry.com/warranty for details.
