Once you have located the source of your roof leak, it is important to choose the correct roof patch and/or sealant that will work best on your roof material. Be sure to review the tips below, as well as the characteristics of each product, before beginning to patch the leaky area of your roof. For all weather conditions, metal roofs, and the longest lasting patch:
Use Henry 209 Elastomastic® (super rubberized) and Henry 183 Reinforcing Fabric. For dry, cold or wet conditions:
Choose Henry 208® Wet Patch®. Use Henry 208r® (rubberized) if you live in an area where the temperature fluctuates more than 50° through the year, or you have days over 100°F.
For repairs in conditions above 90º F:
Choose Henry 204® Plastic Roof Cement . Use Henry 505 FlashMaster™ if you live in an area where the temperature fluctuates more than 50° through the year, or you have days over 100°F.
